Manama, July 5 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out four inspection campaigns in the capital, Muharraq, and the southern governorates, which included many shops, work sites, and places where workers gather.
The authority stated that a joint inspection campaign was carried out in the Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Governorate Police Directorate, while the second campaign was carried out in coordination with the General Department of Criminal Investigation. and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior in Muharraq Governorate. Two campaigns were also implemented in the Capital Governorate, the first in partnership with the Judgment Execution Department, and the other in coordination with the Capital Municipality and the Capital Governorate Directorate (Community Police).
The authority announced that the inspection campaigns resulted in the registration of a number of violations, especially the provisions of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Cases have been referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by contacting the authority’s invitation.
