Manama, July 5 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the sporting achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain. With the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad also praised the pivotal role of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Sports and Sports Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He praised the sporting steps achieved by Bahrain, as he received at Al-Wadi Palace in Riffa and Al-Nijma, the winner of the Asian Clubs Handball Championship, and Manama, which won the West Asian Basketball League title.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Trade Committee, His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of the General Authority of Societies, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Najma Company. His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated Al-Najma and Al-Manama and conveyed to them the greetings of His Majesty the King, praising their historic performance, which reflected Bahrain’s sporting steps.
He also praised the role of the two clubs’ boards of directors in supporting the two teams, which enabled them to obtain prestigious awards, wishing them more success.
