Social Development Minister receives Thattai Hindu Merchants Community delegation

Manama, July 7 (BNA): Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, received Mukesh Kavalani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hindu Merchants Society (THMC), and a number of members.

During the meeting, the minister was briefed on the main goals that THMC seeks to achieve in accordance with the laws in force, by providing technical assistance and training to its members to improve institutional work and raise the professional performance of its employees, as well as contributing to developmental fields in partnership with other social institutions.

Minister Al-Asfoor praised THMC’s social efforts, calling for more cooperation with relevant sectors to achieve the association’s founding goals in areas related to development.
