Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture minister meets Slovak delegation

Manama, June 16 (BNA) Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak met with a high-level delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Stephen Holly.Currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He affirmed his keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially the urban and municipal planning sectors, noting the development steps that the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. “We seek to enhance cooperation and enhance the exchange of experiences by benefiting from experiences and technologies in various fields, including modern electronic systems in the issuance of building permits,” he said.

He briefed the Slovak delegation on Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which is based on three basic principles: fairness, competitiveness and sustainability.

He highlighted the achievements made at various levels of development through the implementation of a package of projects and various qualitative initiatives and programs in line with the objectives of this ambitious vision.

Undersecretary of Municipal Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa briefed the Slovak delegation on the building permit system “Benayat”.

He pointed out that the “Benayat” system is one of the initiatives that aim to achieve Bahrain’s economic vision by making the private sector an essential partner in the development of the economy.

He pointed out that the “Benayat” system was launched in October 2018 to issue new building permits for vacant lands for all types of investment projects. Residential, industrial, commercial, service and projects of a special nature.
