More misery for Liverpool after losing at Wolverhampton 3-0

London, February 4 (BNA): Liverpool’s problems continued after losing 3-0 to Wolverhampton in the English Premier League today, Saturday, according to the Associated Press.

After a season chasing an unprecedented four titles, Liverpool look in danger of finishing mid-table in the league or perhaps worse.

The team have lost seven times in the league and their hopes of salvaging the season by qualifying for the Champions League are looking increasingly remote.

A Joel Matip own goal, a first-time Craig Dawson goal, and a Ruben Neves effort sealed Wolves’ victory.

Wolves fell into the relegation zone by Everton’s surprise against Arsenal hours ago, but they responded impressively by scoring three or more goals in one match for the first time in 11 months.

Leaving Liverpool in 10th place after their third successive league loss. Defender Matip put the ball into his own net five minutes later and Dawson fired in from close range in the 12th minute. Neves went ahead from six meters to complete the scoring in the 71st minute.
