Minister stresses importance of using modern technology in developing fish farming

Manama, July 12 (BNA) The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, stressed the importance of benefiting from modern technologies in developing fish farming. Innovations and technical solutions will contribute to supporting the Ministry’s projects to raise fish production rates locally.

The minister pointed out that the food security strategy, which is managed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, places great emphasis on the use of modern technologies. Technologies in various food security projects, by paying attention to creative and technical ideas and solutions that overcome various challenges, in order to achieve the expected goals.

Minister Al Mubarak made the remarks while attending a presentation by engineering and ICT students during the Sixth Engineering Projects Exhibition 2022, which was recently hosted by Bahrain Polytechnic, in cooperation with the Amazon Web Services, Inc. Cloud Innovation Center. (AWS) and the Labor Fund (Tamkeen).
