Minister of Tourism: Exhibition World Bahrain successfully hosted three concurrent events

Manama, Nov. 30 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Serafi confirmed that Bahrain World Expo (EWB) successfully hosted its first three exhibitions, simultaneously, from November 22 to 26.

Al-Serafi affirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting the exhibitions and conferences industry within the objectives set for the tourism strategy (2022-2026). She confirmed that the recent opening of the Bahrain World Expo (EWB), the largest conference center in the region, will work towards achieving this goal.

The minister affirmed that the EWB program will enhance the role of the tourism sector, and the Ministry of Tourism will continue to explore innovative, qualitative and exceptional packages for more international exhibitions, conferences and events.

Al-Serafi indicated that the three events that were hosted, including: Cityscape Bahrain 2022, the Arabian Jewels Exhibition, and the Cent Arabia exhibition, achieved great success in terms of sales and the number of visitors.

The minister indicated that Cityscape Bahrain 2022 was held on an area of ​​9,500 square meters in the exhibition center, with the participation of representatives of 60 real estate companies offering 10,000 investment opportunities in eight different countries. She added that the exhibition was attended by 10,000 visitors, and the recorded sales volume amounted to more than $265 million.

Regarding the Arabian Jewelry Exhibition, the minister explained that it was held on an area of ​​45,000 square meters, with the participation of exhibitors from 30 countries representing major international companies and brands. She explained that the exhibits were $887,757,629, up 74% from the last exhibition, with sales also increasing by 20% this year to $64,284,026.13.

The Minister of Tourism added that EWB also hosted the first edition of Scent Arabia “The Perfume Expo”. The exhibition was held on an area of ​​4,700 square meters, with the participation of 18 companies from five countries.
