Military Judiciary President receives Bahrain Bar Society delegation

Manama, March 31 (BNA): The Head of the Military Judiciary received the President of the Military Court of Cassation, Major General Dr. Yousef Rashid Fleifel, the elected president and members of the Bahrain Bar Association’s board of directors headed by its president, Hassan. Ahmed Badawi.

He congratulated them on their election, praising the role of BBS and lawyers in serving justice, defending rights and freedom, and consolidating the rule of law and institutions in light of the comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Leader of the United Arab Emirates. Bahrain Defense Force (BDF).

Dr. Fleifel stressed the keenness of the military judiciary, under the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, to strengthen partnership with lawyers and to provide all facilities that help them carry out their noble duties.

The BBS Board of Directors was briefed on the Military Justice Law, the history of military courts up to the establishment of the Military Court of Cassation, and their respective jurisdictions.

They were also informed of the levels of litigation available in the military judiciary and the rights of litigants subject to the provisions of the Military Judiciary Law of 2002 and its amendments.

During the meeting, proposals and opinions on enhancing the effectiveness of judicial procedures were also highlighted.

The Chairman of the BBS Board of Directors praised the role of the Bahrain Defense Force in preserving and protecting national achievements. He praised the remarkable progress achieved by the military judiciary in terms of excellence and expertise in the military prosecution, military courts and legal affairs.

He also praised the independence of the military judiciary in the judicial and legal fields.
