“Manama Gold’ Festival generates over BD 1.1 million in sales

Manama on April 17 (US):The total deals of gold, pearl and jewelry companies participating in the “Golden Manama” festival amounted to about 1.1 million Bahraini dinars.

The amount was spent by citizens, residents, visitors and tourists to purchase jewellery, gold bars and precious stones from more than 180 gold merchants who participated in this festival organized by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) for the first time.

BTEA expects the festival, which runs until April 20, to see increased turnout and purchases in the coming days.

This is due to more and more customers wanting to take advantage of the festival’s unique offers and hoping for exceptional deals during the last days of the festival.

Events held in Bab Al Bahrain include Al Garqaun on April 14 and 15, in addition to a traditional fashion show on April 16, in addition to continuing to organize a variety of events, such as weekly raffles, podcasts of documentaries on the gold industry and trade in Bahrain and children’s activities The bazaar and others. Furthermore, the Bahrain Authority for Tourism and National Heritage will continue to promote this festival inside and outside Bahrain.

The CEO of the authority, Dr. Nasser Qaidi, expressed his pride in this outstanding achievement, stressing that the “Manama Golden Festival” has so far achieved a turnover of one million Bahraini dinars, which is a sure indication of the festival’s success. He said, “We are proud of our success in achieving the festival’s goals, including attracting more visitors and tourists to the Manama Souq, stimulating the commercial movement of gold shops in particular, and various commercial activities in the market in general.”

That enriches the tourism and trade sectors.

Al-Tawash Khalil Ibrahim Gharib, owner of the Bahrain Tababa jewelry store, revealed an increase of 75% to 80% in the demand for gold purchases compared to the same period last year.
