Jakarta, Sept. 10 (BNA) The country’s geophysics agency said a 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Papua region of Indonesia on Saturday and has no potential to trigger a tsunami.

The quake occurred about 262 km (163 miles) east and northeast of Biak in Indonesia at a depth of 16 km. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Reuters reported earlier on Saturday that earthquakes of 6.1, 5.9 and 5.5 magnitudes struck near the same location.
