Bahrain Bourse concludes its participation in “Youth City 2030”

Manama, September 10 (BNA) The Bahrain Bourse, a self-regulating multi-asset market, concluded its participation in the 11th edition of the “Youth City 2030” program hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs along with Tamkeen as a strategic partner.

The event was held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center from July 24 to August 31, 2022, under the slogan “Let’s Connect Again” to educate young people, nurture their talents and enhance their creativity.

Bahrain Bourse’s participation in “Youth City 2030” included a series of awareness sessions that covered basic concepts about money management, savings and financial planning to help young students between the ages of 9-12 years make sound financial decisions. The sessions were followed by various edutainment activities to inculcate the concepts learned during the sessions.

Sheikh Khalifa bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bourse, said: “Bahrain Bourse’s participation in Youth City 2030 aims to further provide youth with key financial knowledge and enhance financial inclusion, and is in line with Bahrain Bourse’s awareness programs aimed at increasing financial awareness across different age groups within society. , especially among young people. Bahrain Bourse places high value on youth awareness programs that align well with Bahrain Bourse’s “Smart Investor Program” initiative, a national awareness initiative for primary school students in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain.

Commenting on INJAZ Bahrain’s successful participation in Youth City 2030, Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of INJAZ Bahrain, said: “The Youth City provides an essential platform for the Kingdom’s youth to exchange knowledge, raise their skills, and engage in an engaging environment fueled by creativity among peers, mentors and leaders. Bahrain Bourse has implemented several awareness programs, including the “Smart Investor Program” in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, which targets primary school students, and the “Trade Quest” program targeting high school and university students, which has been operating for 23 years, in addition to “Vocational training in the markets of Bahrain.” Capital” and “Investment Academy”, a joint initiative between Bahrain Bourse and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) aimed at strengthening training programs to support the local capital market and targeting novice, intermediate and professional investors.
