5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Algeria’s Oran province

Oran, June 27 (BNA) A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit areas in the province of Oran, northwest of Algeria, on Sunday, according to official media.


Reuters reported that the epicenter of the quake was 12 kilometers north of the Jadel region.


The local An-Nahar channel said, quoting a statement of the civil protection authorities in the province, that the earthquake did not result in casualties.
