LMRA conducts inspection campaigns in the Northern Governorate

Manama, November 3 (BNA) The Labor Market Regulatory Authority today carried out an inspection campaign on a number of expatriate employee gathering places in the Northern Governorate.

This restriction, which was carried out in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, comes in line with the government’s directives to intensify inspection campaigns to maintain the stability of the labor market.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of a number of violators who were proven to have violated the provisions of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority said, in a statement today, that deportation measures have been taken against violators of the law in accordance with the legal provisions and regulations.

It announced that it will conduct weekly inspection campaigns in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior and relevant government agencies to suppress violations that affect the fairness, flexibility and competitiveness of the labor market.

He stressed the importance of society’s role in supporting the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal practices in order to maintain security and support social, health and economic stability.

It called on the public to report any complaints related to the labor market and illegal immigrant workers.
