Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out two joint inspection campaigns in the capital and the southern governorates, on a number of shops and work sites.
The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority indicated that a joint inspection campaign was conducted in the Capital Governorate, in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Governorate Police Directorate. The other inspection campaign took place in the southern governorate in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority renews its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website or by calling the authority’s call center.
