HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chairs the weekly Cabinet Meeting

Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired today the weekly cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Council of Ministers congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the people of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic countries, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

The Cabinet expressed its concern about the armed confrontations between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces.

The Cabinet called on the two parties to exercise restraint and engage in dialogue to reach a peaceful solution that preserves Sudan’s security and stability and protects the interests of the Sudanese people.

During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed several memorandums approving the following:

1. A memorandum submitted by the Civil Service Bureau regarding restructuring and developing the work of many government agencies to raise efficiency and improve performance.

2. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding the government’s response to four proposals submitted by the House of Representatives.

The Cabinet reviewed the ministerial reports on the results of the second meeting of the Bahraini-Qatari follow-up committee. This includes restoring diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Qatar in accordance with the United Nations Charter and the Vienna Treaty on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

The Council also reviewed the outcomes of the consultative meeting between the GCC States, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Iraq.
