HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali announces launch of youth leaders initiative

Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Good Word Association, announced the launch of the third edition of the Young Leaders Initiative, which will be launched next June.

This initiative was organized by the Good Word Association, in cooperation with the Arab Planning Institute (API) in Kuwait, in line with His Highness Sheikh Issa Bin Ali’s support for youth and their contributions to achieving the Kingdom’s development goals.

It aims to prepare youth leaders who must keep pace with regional and international changes, and contribute to solving development problems through creative approaches by strengthening their role in supporting economic and social development efforts in the Kingdom.

The program will develop the leadership skills of the young generation, and enhance their strategic ways of thinking to establish competencies capable of obtaining social, administrative and leadership responsibilities.

This year’s edition targets 60 participants. The initiative graduated 160 young people in the first and second editions.

His Highness Sheikh Isa affirmed that the initiative came in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the great support and interest on the part of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, towards empowering youth and enhancing their capabilities. Their contributions to the development process in the Kingdom in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
