LMRA CEO receives IOM MENA Regional Director

Manama, Jan. 19 (BNA): The Executive President of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, received the Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration for North Africa and the Middle East, Othman Al-Balbeisi.

The meeting was attended by the Regional Adviser for North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf States, Hassan Abdel Moneim Mustafa, and the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration in Bahrain, Mohammed Al-Zarqani.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the International Organization for Migration, exchange experiences to improve the work environment and preserve the rights of work teams, and develop the role of the Regional Center of Excellence in building capacities to combat human trafficking.

The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority highlighted the efforts made by the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in providing and maintaining a safe work environment for employees and employers and its commitment to strengthening efforts in combating human trafficking and protecting workers from all forms of exploitation.

Jamsheer stressed the role of the International Organization for Migration in supporting Bahrain’s efforts to improve the work environment and build capacities in the field of combating human trafficking.
