LLOC, iGA launch Bahrain Legislations Mobile App

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): The Legislation and Legal Opinion Authority, in cooperation with the Information and e-Government Authority, launched the application of Bahrain’s legislation for mobile.

The application aims to facilitate access to many legal electronic services. The launch of the application reflects the continuous national efforts towards technological initiatives and the promotion of a culture of legal awareness among society. It is available on the eGovernment App Store bahrain.bh/apps.

The application of the Bahraini legislation was launched during a press conference in the presence of Counselor Nawaf Abdullah Hamzah, Chairman of the Local and Legal Organizing Committee, and Executive Vice President for Electronic Transformation, Dr. Zakaria Ahmed Al Khaja.

The advisor renewed the authority’s commitment to developing its electronic services that enhance and establish legal culture among all sectors of society with the aim of consolidating the principles of the constitution and the rule of law in Bahrain, which highlights the civilized transformation in Bahraini legislation in the Kingdom of Bahrain. A prosperous era for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He pointed out that the application of Bahrain’s legislation is a legal electronic channel that facilitates access to a list of legal electronic services, such as searching and reviewing legislation and decisions issued within the Kingdom of Bahrain, treaties, agreements and legal principles issued by the authority. and other services of interest to relevant stakeholders.

He stressed that the launch reflects the authority’s keenness to enhance the legal services provided to the public and make them available through an easy-to-use mobile application and facilitate users’ access to them, to be a basic reference for the legal information needed by all concerned users, in addition to the official website of the authority.

Counselor Hamza said that the application allows the user to view the Kingdom’s constitution and the National Charter in both Arabic and English. In addition to the possibility of advanced search to display 18081 of the legal instruments issued in Bahrain and the ability to make the most of the search process.

He explained that the search feature in the application of Bahrain’s legislation allows the user to search in the titles of issued tools or in the texts of legal tools, pointing out that the search tool is available for all issued legislation, in addition to the search engine service. Also available for legislation translated into English, ie 96 legal instruments available so far.

The application also provides updated information available in the Official Gazette as soon as it is issued, as well as legislation translated into English, which will be constantly updated. LLOC is currently translating all applicable legislation and legal instruments since the issuance of the Official Gazette since 1948.

The Executive Vice President of Electronic Transformation at the Information and eGovernment Authority confirmed that the launch of the application is a reflection of the continuous cooperation between government agencies and their efforts to achieve digital transformation of government services and make them available to the public through multiple channels.

He stressed that such initiatives come in line with the national strategy and directives to achieve a comprehensive digital transformation of government services within the Kingdom and in various sectors, including law and justice.

Al-Khaja praised the continuous support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the directives of the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa in employing information and communication technology. And digital transformation in government services, and providing them through electronic channels to facilitate their access to citizens and residents in line with the e-government program that supports sustainable development.
