Leeds held to 0-0 draw by Brentford and winless in 6 matches

London, January 22 (BNA): Leeds’ winless run in the Premier League moved to six matches after they were held to a goalless draw with Brentford at Elland Road on Sunday.

The point lifted Leeds above West Ham into 15th place but Jesse Marsh’s side sit just one point above the relegation zone, while Brentford extended their unbeaten league record to eight matches.

The afternoon was frustrating for Leeds, who were desperate for all three points after winning just two of their previous 15 points in the top flight, according to the Associated Press.

Brentford’s David Raya was the busier goalkeeper, producing a crucial save of the game when Willy Gununto’s effort was swept aside in the second half.

However, Leeds lacked quality around the box to seriously test the visitors.

Leeds’ record holder, Georginho Rutter, was left on the bench, further angering the home fans.

Brentford, who entered this weekend’s round of matches above Liverpool and Chelsea in the standings, rose to eighth.
