Laundry Supervisor (fixed term contract until January 2023)

What will you do:
Supervising the laundry operations and ensuring that project standards and procedures are fully known and followed.
Oversee the outsourcing of laundry services, for quality and standard procedures.
– Conducts daily briefing of staff on room occupancy and special attention that may be needed.
To ensure that all attendees wear appropriate personal protective equipment while working in accordance with standard operating procedures and other personal care standards.
Works closely with other staff members in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of events and guest satisfaction.
Reports to the Assistant Laundry Manager on major problems, discrepancies in number, defects or stains in pre-placed linen in stock.
– Coordination with the logistics of fresh soil/linen as per room occupancy.
Ensures that all linens are handled and distributed according to their priority.
Maintain nominal linen stock.
– To ensure proper distribution of all materials and effective handling of guests, managers and heart uniforms.
– Managing any complaints we receive in a professional manner by owning it and resolving it to the satisfaction of the guest and recording it.
To conduct/attend a daily briefing with the laundry team summarizing tasks and activities.
Assist in carrying out administrative responsibilities and monitoring activities.
To ensure that regular “refresher” trainings and courses are conducted and attended as scheduled.
Your experience and skills include:
– At least two years experience in the same role in the laundry department.
– Responsible and very reliable
A practical approach is essential
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Hotel experience in the Middle East is a plus
Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the stage for high performance
