The Facility Manager role is an integral part of Amazon operations and will be responsible for all facility maintenance tasks through direct reports and via external contractors.
The position is essential to enabling our operations team to work on our clients’ experience.
Duties:
The facilities manager is the direct head of the facilities team. Ensures focus on safety through team coaching, development and coaching. Takes care of the high availability of FC equipment by ensuring all preventive maintenance is carried out and establishing/maintaining internal processes and procedures.
Main commitments:
Lead, support and mentor the team based on identified barriers that ensure team work safely, to high standards and effectively.
Ensure team expertise through training.
Identifying root causes of problems and providing solutions
The principal deputy manager of the facility when he is off-site.
Ensure, in collaboration with the team, that safety and record-keeping regulations are complied with for the activities being conducted
Implement Amazon standards and focus on preventative maintenance to ensure a high level of equipment availability for our internal customers.
Managing and supporting the team’s training program.
Manage local projects and support construction projects assigned by the manager.
Be prepared to work in shifts to keep in touch with your team and your day-to-day work.

The Facilities Manager will be involved in all day-to-day business activities as well as project initiatives and will lead a team of facility and service technicians.
Responsibilities include:
Dedicated to supporting multi-location production by operating in a safe, customer-focused manner; He must be highly self-motivated and focus on clients.
Develop and design solutions to challenging problems, manage external contractors and prepare for emergencies.
Handling multiple daily projects and activities, meeting deadlines and developing plans on how to achieve department and distribution goals.
Ensure that all safety programs and procedures are followed, develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and have good working relationships with operations.
Assist in developing, controlling and tracking budgets.
Guide all facility partners through motivation and provide direction to help them achieve their goals and make a consistent effort to go further.
The facilities area manager encourages and conducts good housekeeping.
Develop training plans for facility and service technicians.
Develop preventive maintenance programs.
Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, wiring methods and materials, with team
Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot image eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, servomotors and frequency converters etc. with the team
Develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels in the organization.
· Ability to provide rich feedback to improve individual performance.
Basic qualifications:
Technical background
· Fluency in English
Minimum 5 years experience as a Technical Manager
Experience in industrial equipment maintenance, building maintenance, and cleaning/waste services
Knowledge of maintenance systems
Experience in managing contractors
Experience in creating and implementing budgets
Strong leadership skills backed by team management records
Knowledge of safety rules in technical services
Strong collaboration skills
Preferred qualification:
Must have a results-oriented approach with good analytical skills, team leadership and organizational skills.
Must be able to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization.
You must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to read technical drawings and manuals.
