Labor Minister participates in ADD Sixth Ministerial Consultation meeting

Dubai, October 26 (BNA): The Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan headed the Bahraini delegation in the sixth ministerial consultative meeting of the Asian Commission for Dispatch and Manpower. Receiving countries “Abu Dhabi Dialogue” held in Dubai from 25 to 28 October.

The agenda of the current session includes a discussion of monitoring expected changes in labor markets and economic developments and their potential impact on the rates of supply and demand for qualified manpower at the national, regional and international levels.

The meeting discussed the change in work patterns as a result of technological development and its impact on future professions, as well as addressing future job opportunities for women in light of the increasing demand for jobs in the health, social care and education sectors.

The participants will review ways to develop relations between the participating countries and coordinate among them at the international level in issues related to international labor regulations and legislation, in a way that contributes to strengthening the protection of the rights of the workforce to ensure the stability of relations.
