EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology – Focuses on developing new technology for our clients. It enables EY to identify opportunities based on new technology faster and pursue those opportunities faster

Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our core business services functions and will provide a fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the lowest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technical needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) – Info Sec prevents, detects, responds to and mitigates cyber risks, and protects EY, customer data and our information management systems.

the opportunity

As part of Enterprise Technology, on-site technology support’s mission is to help our clients achieve their purposes and contribute to building a better world of work by providing a support service fit for purpose.

This on-site technology support specialist provides support to customers within the country or location by carrying out various technical support activities. This professional demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks, and work with multiple software and hardware technologies, in a fast-paced environment.

Your main responsibilities

Facilitate and support the deployment of hardware and software for end users (including installation, configuration and testing of more complex enterprise hardware).
Facilitate and support the provisioning and de-provisioning processing, including setting up hardware/software for new employees, and receiving hardware from employee dismissals.
Assist in (or coordinate) the repair of end user hardware and software reinstallation as necessary to resolve end user incidents.
Resolve incidents related to end user software and hardware compliant with company standards, including mobile/mobile technologies. Determine the sources and trends of technical problems to prevent their occurrence in the future.
Under minimal supervision, provide after-hours service for escalating issues and tasks from the service desk or supervisor.
Performs asset management activities (purchasing, receiving, inventory, tracking, distribution, etc.) as defined and in accordance with company policy and EY Technology process.
Assist with off-site technology support for company sponsored functions/meetings.
Assist with IT tasks related to office moves, construction and relocation operations.
Actively act as ‘remote hands’ for other EY technology functions, such as communications and hosting.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of EY Technology’s organization and service offerings in order to determine how best to handle end user technology needs and incidents.
Adequately understand the company’s business and organization to anticipate and solve end-user technology issues that affect the productivity of the company’s employees
The role receives direct supervision from a supervisor with regular contact to assign and monitor activities

Success skills and attributes

Effective analytical skills are required to address end user incidents escalating from the service desk or submitted by the end user on follow-up issues.
– Decision making responsibilities are generally limited to addressing a single end user issue; Ability to prioritize incidents being worked on and communicate these priorities to end users as necessary.
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is desirable

To qualify for the role you must have

– Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
Excellent customer service attitude.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of end users and IT staff.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and peers.
Approximately 2-4 years of experience in end user technology support
