Speaker urges Arab solidarity to stave off challenges

Cairo, February 16 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal stressed the importance of Arab solidarity and cooperation to overcome current challenges and difficulties.

She said that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, attaches great importance to strengthening solidarity, consultation and coordination among Arab countries.

She stressed the need to take positions under the current circumstances to confront the escalating challenges facing the Arab region, praising the efforts of the Arab Parliamentary Union to strengthen Arab solidarity.

Zainal’s statements came during her participation this evening in the consultative meetings of the heads of Arab parliaments on the sidelines of the 32nd session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Cairo.
