Interior Ministry wins three e-Government Excellence Awards

Manama, October 27 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa extended thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. The Prime Minister, for the support and care provided to the Ministry of Interior through all its security and service sectors, which contributed to the development of outstanding performance and excellence in providing advanced and comprehensive security services.

The Minister of Interior praised the victory of the Operations Department at the Presidency of Public Security, Southern Governorate and Customs Affairs with the e-Government Excellence Awards for the year 2021. The winner translates the Ministry of Interior’s plans to use modern technologies to meet the inspiration of the government and government agencies. Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and support the ICT sectors.

The Minister of Interior congratulated the three winners, praising their wonderful services despite the unusual situation and challenges posed by the Corona virus. He stressed that the win reflects the creative efforts of the employees of the Ministry of Interior and their capabilities and capabilities in achieving excellence.

He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communications Technology, for sponsoring the award ceremony for the eleventh session. He also praised the efforts of the Information and e-Government Authority, led by Muhammad Ali Al-Qaed. He added that the award confirms Bahrain’s keenness to adopt national initiatives to enhance competitiveness and achievements in digital transformation and technology adoption.

Operations Department won the award for the best integrated services for individuals or companies through the geo-security system. The Southern Governorate received the Best Practices Award in Electronic Community Interaction for its Virtual Majlis. Customs Affairs won the “Gov4Good” award for the best online presentation by Sheikha Munira bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, affiliated with Customs Affairs. Gov4Good is a government platform for solving problems through innovative solutions.
