Arab Parliament Speaker praises HM King’s visit to Egypt

Manama, September 17 (BNA) The Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asomai, praised the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Arab Republic of Egypt and his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. As an indication of the role of His Majesty the Arab King and his keenness to enhance cooperation with Arab countries.

Al-Soumi stressed that the visit reflects His Majesty’s constant keenness to enhance regional security and stability. He pointed out that the talks with the Egyptian president highlighted the firm and honorable positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain with regard to strengthening Arab action, facing regional challenges, and supporting Arab and international efforts to enhance security and stability.

The Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives added that His Majesty’s visit also reflects the specificity of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations, which constitute a model for fraternal relations and the common interest in strengthening them and enhancing coordination in various issues of common interest. He also affirmed the consistency of the visions of the leaderships of the two countries with regard to regional developments. In this regard, he praised the King’s affirmation of support for efforts aimed at reaching a binding, fair and comprehensive agreement on the Renaissance Dam for the benefit of all parties.

Al-Soumi praised President Sisi’s firm stances towards the security of the Gulf and his rejection of any practices aimed at destabilizing it.
