Dortmund kit maker apologises after fan fury over CL shirt

Nuremberg, September 17 (BNA): Borussia Dortmund’s kit maker, Puma, has apologized after fans’ angry reaction to the team’s Champions League shirt due to the club’s club crest, German news agency dpa reported.

“We regret the outrage of the fans and we want to apologize to them,” Puma’s chairman, Bjorn Golden, told dpa.

Fans expressed their anger on social media over the shirt Dortmund wore in Wednesday’s match in Besiktas, Turkey. It had a different design than their usual attire, and the logo is barely visible as it is woven into the shirt in the same colour.

“We have taken the feedback into account and will consider it for future T-shirts – just as we have done in the past,” Gulden pledged.
