Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): The Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received today the Director General and CEO of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Dr. John Chipman.
The meeting was attended by IIS Executive Director for the Middle East Lieutenant-General (ret.) Sir Tom Beckett and Deputy Chief of Public Security Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
The Minister of the Interior expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Shipman for the efforts he made throughout his tenure, noting his contributions to strengthening research efforts and strengthening the Kingdom’s role and position in organizing strategic international conferences such as the annual “Manama Dialogue”. , wishing him more success.
The minister praised the advanced level of the institute in the field of strategic studies that serve decision-making circles, stressing the importance of developing cooperation in a way that contributes to strengthening joint work and achieving common goals and interests.
The two sides also discussed areas of cooperation and joint coordination and ways to enhance them.
