He pointed out that the legislative and executive authorities and non-governmental organizations are doing their best, along with Team Bahrain, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support people with special needs by enabling them to actively participate. In developing the rule of law and institutions and contributing to enriching the comprehensive development process of the Kingdom.
Al-Musallam stressed, in his speech before the Parliamentary Forum for People of Determination 2023, which was held here today under his auspices, that the House of Representatives has strengthened community partnership in all its programs and plans.
He stressed that the House of Representatives has always stressed the need to preserve the rights of people of determination by meeting their needs and providing them with the requirements of a decent life, including education, housing, health, work, care and support services, based on the provisions of the National Action Charter and the Constitution.
He added that the draft state budget law 2023-2024, which was approved by Parliament yesterday, once again demonstrated the great interest that the legislative and executive authorities give to people with special needs.
He revealed that the House of Representatives launched the “Empowerment of People of Determination Award,” which will honor the initiatives and programs launched by official and civil authorities and individuals to serve people with special needs.
The Muslim speaker expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organizers and participants in the forum for their efforts to make it a success.
He pledged that the recommendations and outcomes of the forum would be given priority by the House of Representatives in order to ensure the provision of the best services to people of determination, in cooperation with the executive authority.
