Bahrain, Burundi affirm parliamentary diplomatic cooperation

Bujumbura, September 21 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the National Council for the Defense of Democracy and the Forces for the Defense of Democracy in Burundi, Rivren Ndicuriou, received First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Jamal Muhammad Fakhro and Second Vice-President of the Council Jamila Ali Salman. .

The meeting came on the sidelines of their participation in the ninth consultative meeting of the Assembly of Senates, Shura Councils and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA), hosted by Burundi.

The Secretary-General praised the council’s participation, stressing that it comes within the framework of the Kingdom to strengthen parliamentary work and strengthen African and Arab relations.

He stressed that his country is keen to build a Burundian-Bahraini, praising the progress and prosperity witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields.

The Shura deputies stressed the importance of strengthening joint relations between the legislative authority and investing in parliamentary diplomacy to support bilateral development.
