Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): His Majesty’s Deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited the Parliament today. Upon his arrival, he was received by Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam and Speaker of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad took this opportunity to highlight that His Majesty the King’s inaugural address to the Shura Council and the House of Representatives laid the foundations for comprehensive development in the Kingdom.
His Highness also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities and the private sector to achieve development goals.
Based on the directives of His Highness the Deputy King, the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, presented the Government Program 2023-2026.
During the council session, His Excellency Al-Musallam delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister and members of the government to the council session, and called on His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah to review the government program 2023-2026 before the House of Representatives.
Then His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah delivered a speech on the government program 2023-2026 in which he expressed his honor at the opening of the new legislative term and stressed that the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will continue to progress.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah congratulated the members of the Shura Council on their appointment, and also congratulated the deputies on their election, after the highest turnout ever in the Kingdom.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah expressed his pride in being entrusted with presenting the government program 2023-2026 to the Council, indicating that the program will contribute to the comprehensive development of the Kingdom and improve the quality of services provided.
Then the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed the congratulations of His Royal Highness and his best wishes to the Council in its pursuit of success for the Bahraini people.
For his part, His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam stressed the importance of the government program to advance comprehensive development in the Kingdom and provide opportunities for Bahraini citizens.
