Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): The Viceroy, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired today an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers at Gudaibiya Palace to review the government’s program 2023-2026.
First, the Cabinet praised the Kingdom’s celebrations of the National Day to commemorate the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain at the hands of Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, as well as the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa assuming the reins of power. The Cabinet thanked everyone who offered congratulations on this occasion.
Then, His Highness directed that the meeting be devoted to discussing the government program 2023-2026 and the measures taken to advance the comprehensive development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
The Cabinet discussed the pillars of the government’s programme, policies and objectives that are in line with the appointment book issued by His Majesty the King to His Highness the King to form the government and His Majesty the King’s inaugural speech for the first session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council. Council and the House of Representatives.
The government program is designed to accommodate the results of the workshop on future aspirations and compatibility with the economic vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030. The program has 3 priorities, 10 goals and 5 main pillars, which are security, stability, justice, economic recovery and sustainable development. and quality of government services.
After approval by the Council of Ministers, the government’s program will now be referred to the House of Representatives. His Royal Highness assigned the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to present the government’s program to the Council.
His Highness concluded by expressing his appreciation to the ministries and agencies for their work in preparing the programme. His Highness also affirmed that through this programme, the government is committed to strengthening cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to ensure the provision of high-quality services to the people of Bahrain.
