Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board, chaired today the meeting of the Economic Development Board at its headquarters in Bahrain Bay. The achievements of the Economic Development Board in 2022, its goals for 2023, and the progress made in the Kingdom’s economic competitiveness and its developments in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 were reviewed.
His Highness highlighted the importance of increasing efforts in developing key priority sectors to meet the aspirations of Bahraini citizens.
His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Economic Development Board stressed the role of the private sector as a major engine for comprehensive development in the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the role played by Bahraini citizens in supporting the Kingdom’s national interests, by giving priority to long-term development goals and initiatives that benefit and support their present and future.
His Highness affirmed that the Kingdom’s economic diversification strategy continues to progress, through investing in available goods, adopting effective legislation and policies, supporting direct investment, and providing quality job opportunities for Bahraini citizens, in line with the Kingdom’s economic recovery plan.
Then the CEO of the Economic Development Board, His Excellency Khaled Humaidan, presented to the Board of Directors the performance and achievements of the Economic Development Board for the year 2022. The Economic Development Board succeeded in attracting investments for 89 projects with a value exceeding 415 million Bahraini dinars (1.1 billion US dollars), which will contribute to creating More. More than 6,000 quality job opportunities for Bahraini citizens, over the next three years.
