HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the Minister of Interior and NPRA Undersecretary

Manama, Mar. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today the Minister of Interior, His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and the Undersecretary of Nationality and Passports. Residency and Residency Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Gudaibiya Palace.


The meeting came on the occasion of the launch of the e-passports project, which is a new government initiative that uses advanced modern technologies to facilitate travel and transit at airports.


His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of adopting innovative solutions through government services to achieve the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.


Referring to the launch of the electronic passport project in the Kingdom, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad indicated the importance of the project in improving the quality of services for citizens. His Highness took this opportunity to praise the efforts of everyone who contributed to the success of the e-Passports project.


His Royal Highness referred to the Kingdom’s continued commitment to digital transformation, which is an essential element in improving overall development, productivity, quality, and improving citizen-led services.


For his part, the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, pointing to the commitment of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to improving the quality of services provided to the citizens of the Kingdom.
