HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the 2021-2022 NAO Annual Report

Manama, Jan. 12 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today the Auditor General of the State Audit Bureau, His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, who presented to His Royal Highness the nineteenth annual report of the Civil Aviation Office 2021-2022 at Riffa Palace.


His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the importance of enhancing accountability and responsibility across government work tracks to achieve the comprehensive development goals of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Highness praised the commitment of the Kingdom’s ministries and agencies to perform their duties responsibly and efficiently, in order to ensure optimal management of public funds.


His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad indicated that continuous cooperation between ministries, government agencies and the National Audit Office is an integral part of strengthening regulatory frameworks and ensuring optimal use of public resources for the benefit of Bahraini citizens.


His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring the implementation of government administrative and financial procedures in line with best practices to preserve public funds and resources. In this regard, His Highness stressed the importance of government agencies that have administrative and financial observations not complying with taking the necessary measures to correct these observations and ensure that they are not repeated in future reports.


For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness. His Excellency added that the office’s growth and development is due to the unwavering support of His Majesty the King and the supervision of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed expressed his appreciation to the ministries and agencies for their cooperation with the National Audit Office, which allowed the office to carry out its tasks efficiently.


His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed concluded his speech by stressing that the State Audit Bureau will continue to implement development plans and programs to expand and strengthen its oversight capabilities.
