HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister launches Jewellery Arabia 2022

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today inaugurated the 2022 Arabian Jewelery Exhibition at the Bahrain International Exhibition in Sakhir.

His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s continued commitment to advancing comprehensive development in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Highness praised the Kingdom’s competitiveness, supported by Bahrain’s creative and talented team, which strives to achieve the Kingdom’s ambitious development goals.

His Highness affirmed that the opening of the Bahrain International Exhibition, with its state-of-the-art exhibition and event facilities, represents a new era for exhibition and conference tourism in Bahrain.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of Arabian jewellery, and its 30-year history in the Kingdom – a highlight of Bahrain’s annual calendar of events.

His Highness expressed his appreciation for the great contribution made by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in supporting the establishment of the Arabian Jewels Company.

His Highness also expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the Jewels Arabia 2022 exhibition, wishing them all success in this year’s exhibitions.

For her part, the Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, thanks to the royal directives of His Majesty the King and the continuous support of His Highness, is working to increase the contribution of tourism to the gross domestic product.

Arabian Jewels and the Bahrain International Exhibition are evidence of a developed and competitive tourism sector in the Kingdom. Jewelery Arabia 2022 provides exhibitors with an excellent opportunity to engage high-profile vendors and designers from prominent local, regional and international brands, some of whom are participating in the event for the first time this year.

The event includes the launch of the traditional Bahraini “Gold Souk”, which is areas dedicated to displaying watches, pearl products and jewelry from prominent and new designers.

It was also attended by a number of senior officials.
