HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister attends Bahrain’s National Day event at Expo 2020 Dubai

Dubai, November 25 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today visited the Bahrain Pavilion’s National Day celebration, which was held at Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

His Royal Highness highlighted the history of the Expo in providing a platform to showcase the innovations that have shaped the world we live in today.

His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister pointed out the importance of the exhibition in providing an opportunity to explore pioneering solutions that promote sustainable development.

His Highness praised the continuous success of the UAE in hosting international exhibitions, and wished the UAE success in achieving the goals of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Then His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad toured the Bahrain pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai and was briefed on the pavilion’s programs and activities.

His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in presenting the rich and authentic cultural heritage of the Kingdom, as well as the celebrations of the Kingdom’s National Day with the opening of the Bahrain Pearl exhibition.

His Royal Highness indicated Bahrain’s commitment to participate through a wide range of international exhibitions to support regional development for the benefit of all.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad also visited the State Pavilion and was received by the UAE Minister of Culture and Youth and Commissioner of the Emirates Pavilion, H.E. Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi. His Royal Highness praised the UAE Pavilion, which showcased the history of the UAE and its traditional values, as well as future technologies and innovations in the field of aviation.

For her part, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Commissioner-General of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, expressed her gratitude for the widespread support extended by His Majesty the King. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the cultural heritage of the Kingdom. Her Excellency Sheikha Mai also expressed her gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for visiting the pavilion and the National Day event.

Her Excellency Sheikha Mai expressed her thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for organizing Expo 2020 Dubai, the first global exhibition to be held in the Middle East, bringing together participants from all over the world to search for and share innovative ideas and solutions for sustainable development.

Her Excellency Sheikha Mai highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, with a pavilion themed “Intensity Nurtures Opportunity”, which explores cultural heritage, traditional culinary cuisine, handicrafts, and technology.

His Highness, during his visit to Expo 2020 Dubai, was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, His Excellency Dr. Nayef Falah Mohammed Al-Hajraf, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
