LONDON, Aug. 23 (US): The premiere of “House of the Dragon” drew nearly 10 million viewers Sunday on television and streaming service HBO Max, the largest audience for any new original series in the network’s history, HBO reported.

According to Reuter, the anticipation for the series set 200 years before HBO’s Game of Thrones has sparked talk on social media, with the “House of Dragon” topic staying at the top of Twitter’s topic list for 14 hours.
