London, April 29 (BNA): With yet another win, Roy Hodgson has certainly completed his short-term task of securing Crystal Palace’s Premier League status for another season.

Palace beat West Ham 4-3 in back-to-back matches at Selhurst Park on Saturday to move to 40 points, a figure long linked to being the safety mark in the Premier League.

That should be more than enough to ensure Palace’s survival, with the team now 11 points above the relegation zone, according to the Associated Press.

Since the 75-year-old Hodgson took over as caretaker manager until the end of the season, Palace have won four of their six league matches, losing just once.

Before arriving for his second stint in charge, Palace had gone 13 matches without a win in all competitions.

Palace rallied from behind on Thomas Sock’s ninth-minute opener by scoring three goals in a 15-minute period with 30 to go, via Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp.
