Role of Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties praised

Manama, April 29 (BNA): Under the auspices of the Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfoor, the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties organized a marathon to raise awareness of autism. The event was attended by the president of the association, Dr. Sheikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, and a number of stakeholders and individuals.

On the occasion of the event held at the Bahrain International Exhibition in Sakhir, the Minister of Social Development affirmed the government’s keenness to provide all support and care for people with autism, pointing to the importance of shared responsibility in this regard. He praised the efforts of the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral and Communication Difficulties in empowering people with autism. He affirmed the ministry’s support for all development efforts made by civil society organizations to perform their social duties towards all social segments, especially people with special needs.
