HM King holds meeting with Saudi Monarch

Riyadh, March 2 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met today with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in his palace.

His Majesty the King expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the warm reception, generous hospitality and invitation that reflect the distinguished historical relations.

The two leaders reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the two brotherly countries and their steady growth at all levels. They also discussed the efforts made by the two countries to enhance coordination and strategic cooperation on regional issues.

His Majesty the King praised the King Hamad Causeway project, which will link the two kingdoms, describing it as a milestone in the history of Bahraini-Saudi brotherly relations. He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to advance the progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council and deepen brotherly relations and cooperation to achieve the desired goals.

The two leaders discussed regional developments and their impact on security and stability. Views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques lauded the authentic and honorable stances of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty the King, and its efforts in strengthening the Gulf process and enhancing security and stability in the region.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques hosted a luncheon in honor of His Majesty the King.
