Manama, Jan. 4 (BNA) His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, received today in the presence of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Board of Directors. For the General Sports Authority and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Health, Faeq bint Saeed Al Saleh, and the Head of the Electrophysiology Department at the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Heart Center. His Highness Sheikh Nasser stressed that the Kingdom attaches great importance to athletes, through its programs aimed at increasing their achievements in various sports, and at the same time is keen to provide ideal conditions for everyone who practices sports in all regions, to achieve the ultimate goal of making sports a daily lifestyle for all.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser indicated that holding the Sports Conference on Cardiology under the title “The Heart of Athletes” confirms the Kingdom’s great interest in learning about the medical aspects related to the athlete’s heart, as part of its efforts to develop appropriate solutions for all sports methods and practices, as well as spreading the culture of practicing correct sports, noting that The success of the conference was reflected in its activities and the participation of a group of doctors, academics and experts in this field.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Health, the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Heart Center and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports to organize the conference, pointing to the awareness campaign that accompanied the event and the concerted efforts made by everyone. Contributed to the success of the Sports Cardiology Conference in reaching important recommendations that would ensure the protection of athletes and all those who practice sports, by providing them with a safe and healthy environment.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Nasser received the conference’s recommendations, stressing that they will be carefully studied.
