HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa wins World Endurance Championship

Abu Dhabi, Feb. 25 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, concluded the World Endurance Championship.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad outperformed the other competitors from the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Spain to win the race and snatch the cup, recording 7 hours, 36 minutes and 39 seconds.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa watched the 160 km race that was held in Boudheib Global Village in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 126 competitors representing 36 countries were vying for the trophy.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad dedicated the victory to His Majesty the King, praising the royal support for sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially endurance sports. He praised the series of outstanding sporting achievements during the prosperous era of His Majesty the King.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad also expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his continuous support.

He praised the UAE’s success in hosting the World Endurance Championship, praising the distinguished organization that reflects the UAE’s ability to hold major sporting events.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, followed the race, and congratulated His Highness Sheikh Nasser on the victory.
