HM King congratulates HH Shaikh Nasser on endurance trophy

Abu Dhabi, Feb. 25 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today witnessed the World Endurance Championship, which was held in Boudhieb International Endurance City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 160-kilometer race was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, led the Royal Endurance Team to the championship organized by the International Endurance Federation.

His Majesty the King watched the World Endurance Championship, which saw the participation of riders from Bahrain, along with 126 competitors representing 36 countries.

His Majesty the King praised the strength of the historical relations that bind the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, praising the distinguished organization that reflects the UAE’s position and global reputation in hosting major sporting events.

His Majesty the King congratulated His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on winning the race and winning the cup, expressing his pride in the global historical achievements that enrich the record of victories of His Highness Sheikh Nasser.

His Majesty the King praised the outstanding performance of His Highness Sheikh Nasser, who enabled him to win the championship, which reflects the status of endurance sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

His Majesty the King indicated that endurance sport is rooted in the region’s history and heritage, stressing keenness to support and develop this sport.
