Manama, September 19 (BNA) Bahraini Yousef Falah ranked first in the men’s category in the first Abdullah Nass Open Bowling Championship, which concluded yesterday, Saturday.
It was followed by the Omani Khalid bin Issa and the Saudi Adel Al-Barqi, and they occupied the second and third places, respectively.
In the women’s category, Bahrain’s Nadia Aqeel performed superbly to take first place, followed by her compatriot Laila Janahi and Filipino Oella Marcia. .
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the Public Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended the final match that was held in the Fun Land and crowned the winners.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, and President of the Bahrain Bowling Federation Ghazi Abdullah Nass.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the technical level of the first championship and congratulated the winners on their performance.
He stressed the importance of the late Abdullah Nass Open Bowling Championship, which contributes to the development of sports tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He renewed his support for hosting more regional, continental and international championships in Bahrain, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The President of the Bahrain Bowling Federation Ghazi Abdullah Nass expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praising his efforts in developing the sports sector.
He said that the tournament is in line with the vision of His Majesty, the representative of His Majesty the King for humanitarian work and youth affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the development plan of His Highness Sheikh Khalid.
