Health Minister receives AUBH President

Manama, February 10 (BNA) Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh received today the President of the American University of Bahrain, Dr. Susan Saxton.

Al-Saleh reviewed ways to enhance cooperation, coordination and effective partnership between the Ministry of Health and the university in scientific, research and health programs.

The Minister praised the advanced level that the American University of Bahrain has reached, noting that it is one of the prominent institutions in Bahrain, thanks to its scientific contributions and its role in providing the Bahraini society with highly qualified graduates with specialized competencies in various disciplines.

She affirmed the Ministry of Health’s keenness to expand the scope of cooperation with AUBH in the coming period, wishing AUBH and its subsidiaries more success in achieving their scientific and academic goals for the benefit of the Bahraini society.

The President of the American University in Abu Dhabi praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Health, stressing the need to document the outstanding results achieved by Bahrain in combating the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic.

In this regard, she emphasized that the proactive work plans, strategies and protocols of the Bahrain team contributed to making Bahrain a role model in this field.
