Health Minister meets affiliates of 8th intake of PM Fellowship Programme


Manama, Dec. 28 (BNA): Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, stressed the importance of the role played by the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program in enriching and developing the expertise and capabilities of promising government competencies.


She pointed out that the program clearly embodies the ambitious visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to develop government cadres and provide them with opportunities to enhance their expertise, skills, and participation in achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development process.


During his meeting with the employees of the eighth batch of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program, the minister praised their participation in various projects, programs and training courses aimed at enhancing and refining their skills and developing their practical experiences, which would increase their contributions to the program. Developing government performance, wishing them success in their academic and professional lives.


During the meeting, the minister reviewed various issues related to the health sector, highlighting the most important responsibilities assigned to the Ministry of Health to develop sustainable policies for the health sector. It also referred to the health services provided in the Kingdom, and aspects of coordination to achieve integration among them to improve their quality and efficiency.


Dr. Jalila Bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan also highlighted the role played by the Ministry of Health under the National Health Insurance Program (My Health), which aims to provide health requirements for citizens and residents and ensure comprehensive health coverage in the Kingdom. Pointing out that it is one of the largest and most important strategic projects in the health sector in Bahrain.

The affiliates of the eighth batch of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for informing them of the work system in the Ministry of Health, which will motivate them in the best way during their participation in the program.
