Health Minister honours content team

Manama, November 145 (BNA) The Minister of Health, Faeq bint Saeed Al-Saleh, honored today the content team responsible for the ministry’s website, which won the e-Government Excellence Award for the best electronic portal category.

The award ceremony was held last October, under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communications, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

Al-Saleh said that the award represents an incentive to continue efforts to provide the best services, ensure rapid response and meet people’s needs.

And it issued instructions to continue developing health systems using the latest innovative solutions and investing in smart technologies, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

She praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to invest in modern and innovative technologies in providing distinguished services.

She said that the ministry’s portal has played a crucial role over the past two years since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), providing updated information on the virus and highlighting the efforts of the national campaign to combat the epidemic in the tour.

According to the Ministry’s statistics, more than 8 million Internet users visited the site during the period from March 2020 to September 2021 – 3.5 million of them were from Bahrain.

A total of 830,000 visitors from Saudi Arabia registered on the ministry’s portal, followed by visitors from Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
