Finance and National Economy Minister meets Woodrow Wilson Centre delegation

Manama, November 15 (BNA) The Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the Bahraini woman, praising her pivotal role as a key partner in development efforts.

He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance the status and role of women in line with the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He praised the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the sanctity of His Majesty the King.

The minister’s statements came during his meeting with the CEO of the Washington-based Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Ambassador Mark Green, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for the Supreme Council for Women, Sheikha Dina bint Rashid Al Khalifa.

The minister reviewed the initiatives aimed at enhancing Bahrain’s economic position and enhancing its competitiveness at the international level, stressing the importance of cooperation to enhance gender balance in a way that benefits women and supports economic development.

The meeting also focused on Bahrain’s model in promoting equal opportunities and gender balance, and praised the contribution of the Supreme Council for Women in involving women in development.

Ambassador Green also praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting gender balance, stressing the importance of organizing joint intellectual forums to shed light on these issues.
