Gundogan and Haaland score as Man City beats Everton 3-0 in Premier League

London, May 14 (BNA): Manchester City’s seemingly relentless run towards the English Premier League title continued with a 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday.

Arsenal’s loss to Brighton by the same scoreline later in the day means that Pep Guardiola’s side need just one win to be crowned champions for the third season in a row.

Two goals from Ilkay Gundogan and another from Erling Haaland in the 52nd of the season secured the points at Goodison Park and extended City’s unbeaten run to 21 matches in all competitions, according to the Associated Press.

It was the 11th successive league victory, which saw the reigning champions beat long-time leaders Arsenal at the top of the table and put Guardiola on the brink of a fifth title in six seasons.

“Every time we win a game we get a little closer, but Chelsea (May 21) and Brighton (May 24) will be tough matches,” Guardiola said. “Now we know that two wins from the last three matches will be enough.”
